The Elgin Imperials sledge hockey team won the 2023 Ontario Parasport Games gold medal after defeating the Kawartha Blazers 4-0 in the championship game in Whitby.
The team went 5-0 at the event.
In the gold medal game, Ryan Whittle had a pair of goals with Wes Shaw and Bryan Lidster adding singles.
Goalie John Stevenson picked up the shutout.
The Imperials are the 2022 provincial Open A champions.
