If you, a family member or friend is living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, you could help shape the future of health care in Elgin county.
The Elgin Ontario Health Team is looking for individuals with COPD to share their stories and healthcare experiences related to early stages of the disease.
The rate of hospitalizations due to COPD was higher in Elgin-St. Thomas compared to Ontario (2016: Elgin St. Thomas = 312.5 per 100,000 population and Ontario = 171.8 per 100,000 population).
The information will be used to help identify common themes within the community including gaps in care and opportunities for action.
The Elgin Ontario Health Team will provide participants with a $25 gift card for their interview or written story.
Reach out to Lauren Caruana (lauren.caruana@elginoht.ca or 226-927-8036) with any questions, or to express interest in participation.
You can also contact Lauren if you are interested in future engagement opportunities but are unable to participate at this time
