The theme for this year’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Curl for Kids was Fabulous 4s and the result at the end of the day was just that, fabulous.
Interim executive director Carolyn Johnson tells myFM proceeds from the important fundraiser are directed toward improving future outcomes for young people.
While a dozen teams enjoyed a fun day of curling, the ultimate winners of Saturday’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Curl for Kids were young people.
A dozen teams participated and Johnson explains they are finalizing the fundraising total now.
Registration is now open for Golf for Kids Sake coming up Aug. 17 at St. Thomas Golf & Country Club.
This tournament is in support of life-changing mentoring programs for children and youth in the community.
The cost to participate is $165 per golfer and that includes golf, lunch, and a chance to win prizes.
