In an effort to help bring gender equity to the sport, Baseball Ontario will be making a stop in St. Thomas on Saturday to host a Home Grown Clinic for Girls.
The clinic, which is designed for girls aged 8 to 16 will focus on the fundamentals, including hitting, throwing, catching, and base running, with no baseball experience necessary.
Taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Power Alley, interested females can register for the clinic online, with cost being $39 per participant.
The Home Grown Clinic for Girls are hosted at indoor baseball facilities across the province, with instruction delivered by current and former women’s provincial and nationals team players and coaches.
