The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey league announced its Western Conference awards on Tuesday and the St. Thomas Stars were well represented.
William Nicholl had an impressive rookie campaign for St. Thomas with 20 goals and 44 assists, good enough for second in the Western Conference among all skaters. This earned him the GOJHL’s Western Conference Rookie of the Year title.
He was selected to participate in the 2023 St. Andrew’s College MacPherson Challenge Tournament, the GOJHL Future Stars Game, and was named GOJHL Rookie of the Month for January.
Nicholl was also a member of the 1st All-Star team and Rookie All-Star team and won the Rookie scoring title.
He was chosen in the third round by the London Knights in the 2022 OHL Priority Draft.
