The Elgin County OPP are investigating the death of a child in the Municipality of West Elgin.
Police and local EMS were called to an address on Dymock Line just before 5 p.m. Monday, to a report of a child with vital signs absent.
Family members on scene had initiated life saving measures before the individual was transported to hospital. The child, who will not be identified was later pronounced deceased.
While no foul play is suspected, police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
