Spring cleaning season is upon us and if you’re looking for the perfect excuse to get rid of those old electronics taking up space in your home, you’re in luck!
The St. Thomas Police have partnered with the Electronics Recycling Association to host a free community Electronics Recycling Event.
Taking place Saturday, April 8th in the north parking lot of the Joe Thornton Community Centre, residents can stop by between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to unload any old or unused electronic devices.
Scott Barnes, Acting Deputy Chief with the St. Thomas Police explains why this is the best option for residents.
Not only does this event help you get rid of unwanted electronics in a safe manner as Barnes notes, some of these devices can even be repurposed for a greater good.
And while it’s a win-win for those donating and receiving the devices, there’s also another victor in the situation as Barnes points out.
Barnes adds that St. Thomas Police are committed to protecting the community and this is just another way they can do so.
