It’s a big day for the Parkside Collegiate Institute Robotics Team who are in Houston, Texas for the FIRST Robotics World Championship.
The team dubbed The ThunderStamps, spent their season competing at a number of local qualifiers, coming in first place at both the Ontario District Western University Engineering Event and Ontario District Windsor Essex Great Lakes Event.
In addition to the victories, the ThunderStamps also went home with some hardware, winning Industrial Design Award in London and Excellence in Engineering Award in Windsor.
The team now enters the 4 day competition ranked 4th out of 123 teams in Ontario, 4th out of 183 in Canada, and 44th out of 3294 teams worldwide.
The FIRST Robotics World Championship will run from April 19th-22nd in Houston, Texas.
