World Wish Day returns this week, and our local Pita Pit have once again teamed up with Make-A-Wish Canada in an effort to help create hope for children with critical illnesses.
World Wish Day takes place annually on April 29th and celebrates the anniversary of the first wish ever granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Pita Pit St. Thomas plans to celebrate the day this Friday (April 28), where for the entire day, a donation of $1 from every pita sold will benefit Make-A-Wish Canada and the children across the country that are waiting for the opportunity to have their wish come true.
And just like last year, owner of Pita Pit St. Thomas William Abel will be going the extra mile and matching all donations made by the community.
Abel says it’s all about supporting the kids and letting them know that people are in their corner.
Abel invites the entire community out to Pita Pit St. Thomas this Friday where some exciting activities and giveaways will be waiting.
Last year the community was able to raise almost $1800 for Make-A-Wish Canada, which was then doubled by Abel.
