The Fanshawe Pioneer Village is gearing up for it’s 64th season.
Public Programming Coordinator, Christina van Hardeveld tells myFM that the fun begins this Saturday (May 20).
To kick off the season, the Village is putting on a celebration to commemorate Queen Victoria. There will be activities, dancing, afternoon teas and more notes van Hardeveld.
And partner organizations will be on hand at the celebration. The Royal Scots will be there to show what life was like in the Military over 200 years ago. The Elden House will be putting on Afternoon teas and educating visitors on what kind of teas were popular all those years ago.
The Empire Loyalist group will also be coming to speak about Loyalists in the region during that time.
van Hardeveld adds that the Spring Sprout Plant Sale will also be happening.
Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for Seniors, $7 for youth 16-4 and kids 3 and under are free.
Annual passes are still up for grabs as well.
