Elgin County Pride is partnering with the Horton Farmers’ Market and St. Thomas Public Library for a bottle drive.
Proceeds from the drive will be used to help create safe and inclusive Pride events for Elgin county and St. Thomas.
Spokesperson Devon Church tells myFM some of the proceeds are being earmarked for Elgin County Pride, which runs Aug. 7 to the 13th.
You can drop off your bottles and cans this Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at the Horton Farmers Market.
They are collecting glass and plastic bottles along with aluminum cans which can be dropped off before hitting the market.
St. Thomas Public Library will also be on hand until 11 a.m. with their button maker, explains Church.
Church explains where some of the proceeds of their first Bottle Drive will be directed.
The St. Thomas Public Library will also have available inclusive reading options to diversify your bookshelf or library request list.
Elgin County Pride promotes inclusion, diversity, and respect for all!
