For the second time in just over a month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spent time in St. Thomas.
Thursday afternoon following a quick lunch at Legends Tavern, Mayor Joe Preston joined Trudeau for a short walk over to The Atrium, where the PM spoke with local business entrepreneurs.
With troublesome concerns like climate change and the war in Ukraine, the Prime Minister concedes Canadians have every right to be worried. However Trudeau added there is reason for optimism.
Optimism in the form of the Volkswagen announcement last month, noted Trudeau, that will see the automaker build its first North American EV battery plant here in the city. At that time, Trudeau referred to St. Thomas as the place to build the future together.
The PM added that he wants the voice of residents to be heard.
He ended off his whistlestop tour by dropping into Streamliners Espresso Bar to say hello to patrons.
