It’s the last official PD Day of the school year this Friday and to celebrate, the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority has teamed up with Investing in Children to offer some discounted programming to visitors.
It’s all part of Kids 1st Day, a once-a-year event run out of the City of London, that offers free or low-cost activities to children and their families as Brittany Bell, Program Support Assistant with the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority explains.
Taking place at Springwater Conservation Area, children and their families can stop by between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to try their hand at a number of outdoor activities.
And as Bell notes, it’s just $3 per person!
The Sand castle building contest will run between 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., with the educational hikes taking place around 10 a.m.
You are reminded that the $3 fee is for the entire event and not per activity. The $10 parking fee will also be waived for those participating in Kids 1st Day.
This year, the CCCA is one of more than 50 London and area organizations, businesses, museums, and attractions that have signed on to take part in Investing in Children’s Kids 1st Day.
