Elgin OPP are investigating a dog-biting incident Monday afternoon at the Kettle Creek Conservation Authority property on Ferguson Line.
Around 1 p.m., a 62-year-old individual was bitten several times by a dog running loose.
The owner got the dog under control but drove away from the area without offering any assistance.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspected owner is described as a white male, 50-60 years-old, approximately 6′ tall with silver hair.
The dog is described as a black Rottweiler, approximately 75 pounds and possibly named “Owen.”
The vehicle seen leaving the scene is described as an older model Chevy Blazer with a red bottom panel and white top with a license plate possibly ending in the numbers 77.
