The RCMP says dozens of victims of an alleged human trafficking ring in London were held in borderline inhumane conditions.
Police say several victims recruited from abroad to work at Ontario businesses had their travel documents withheld, and were paid substandard wages while living in these conditions.
Police say two suspects are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear in London court this week.
Both suspects in their late 40s face numerous human trafficking charges following a months-long investigation by several southern Ontario police forces.
One of the suspects also faces a sexual assault charge.
