The first week of beach water testing undertaken by Southwestern Public Health has resulted in a red status for a local destination.
Following tests done at Little Beach in Port Stanley, SWPH has updated its status to red, meaning high levels of bacteria in the water may pose a health risk and is it not safe to swim at this time.
A status update for Port Stanley Main Beach has yet to be reported.
Beach water quality results are updated each week during beach sampling season. For more details, visit the SWPH website.
