A St. Thomas Police officer has been suspended with pay from active duty, pending the completion of an investigation.
No name and little details have been released, however on June 29th, a St. Thomas officer was charged with intimate partner violence related criminal offences, stemming from an OPP investigation.
Police say the allegations are in relation to off-duty actions which alleged to occur last December and January outside of St. Thomas.
Chief of Police Marc Roskamp notes that no further information will be released at this time.
