Thursday and Friday, Food Basics is encouraging shoppers to donate what they can to assist the Curtis family following the death Tuesday of 11-year-old Aiden Curtis.

Smith notes Aiden’s 17-year-old brother Jordan is an employee at the St. Thomas Food Basics.
Aiden died after being struck by an out-of-control pick-up truck that veered off Talbot Street at Inkerman Street and plowed into a group of pedestrians.
A woman was taken to hospital in London with potentially life-threatening injuries. Three other individuals were not seriously injured.
Nineteen-year-old Nicholas Lemke has been charged with impaired operation causing death, impaired operation causing bodily harm and operation while impaired.
