While you could visit a mall parking lot and see hundreds of cars, visit downtown St. Thomas on Saturday and wander amongst more than a thousand classic cars.
The 9th edition of Nostalgia Nights runs 4 until 9 p.m. along Talbot Street, explains Earl Taylor, chair of the Downtown Development Board.
It’s a classic cars extravaganza featuring more than a thousand colourful vehicles, lovingly restored and maintained by their owners.
And it very well could see a record turnout this year, explains Taylor.
The free train runs every hour on the hour from 3 until 8 p.m. Pick up your tickets at the kiosk on Ross Street near Talbot Street any time after noon.
The colourful spectacle draws enthusiasts from across southern Ontario, notes Taylor.
Don’t forget to take a swing at the Smash and Bash car with funds going to Hospice of Elgin.
And spend time in Creator Alley where you’ll discover crafters offering everything from Henna to handmade jewellery.
You’ll find it in the vacant lot at Talbot and Ross streets.
Taylor points out this year’s location may very well prove to be a template for the future of Nostalgia Nights.
And did you know, a total of 309 Dodge Chargers were used throughout the total run of the popular Dukes of Hazard TV series.
