St. Thomas Police announced late Friday afternoon four St. Thomas residents have been arrested in relation to a violent assault at a homeless encampment.
Early Tuesday morning, officers responded to the site of the now demolished Victor Dana factory located behind Memorial Arena where a resident had been assaulted with a weapon.
The individual was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The incident triggered quick action to dismantle the sprawling encampment, impacting at least seven residents.
The following have been charged:
32-year-old Lisa Bradford – robbery with violence
38-year-old Jonathan Margetts – robbery with weapon and assault with a weapon
36-year-old Chandell Mordush – robbery with violence
30-year-old Jordan Pineda – robbery with weapon and assault cause bodily harm
All four St. Thomas residents were taken into custody, processed and held for court.
As a result of their court appearances:
Lisa Bradford, Jonathan Margetts and Jordan Pineda have been remanded into custody.
Chandell Mordush was released by the courts on a release order.
