The St. Thomas Police are helping families beat that summer time boredom with their latest community event.
Join our local officers this Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon for the free Boredom Buster, featuring youth pick-up basketball and road hockey.
With an aim at keeping kids active and entertained during the summer months, Corporate Communications Coordinator with the St. Thomas Police Service Samantha Wakefield invites all the youth in our community to join in on the fun!
Wakefield notes that they’ll be hosting the Boredom Buster events twice this August, just across the street at the Joe Thornton Community Centre
While these events are completely free and don’t require registration, Wakefield stresses that a parent or guardian must be on site.
Not only are these events an excellent chance for children in our community to see the friendly faces behind the uniforms and learn about the essential role the police play, it also gives the officers the chance to change things up adds Wakefield.
The next Boredom Buster event hosted by The St. Thomas Police Service will take place Tuesday, August 22nd.
