The St. Thomas Fire Department along with St. Thomas Police this morning, were called to a Talbot Street address for the report of an active fire.
The call came in around 5:50 for the 2nd story apartment fire at 351 Talbot.
Chief Fire Prevention Officer Kim Destun notes that the fire was contained to just one unit and was knocked down by crews fairly quickly.
One woman was transported to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries from smoke inhalation.
Though deemed accidental in nature, the cause of fire is still being investigated.
