Community Spotlight: Make a difference in the lives of local students with the 5th annual myFM and Elgin Roofing All Hands-On Deck Food Drive

The big day is finally here, and not only is it a vital initiative for our community, it’s also a very special day for all involved.

The 5th Annual myFM and Elgin Roofing All Hands on Deck Food Drive goes today, bringing together a number of businesses, organizations, and residents to collect donations in support of our local food banks.

Because as Dave Thomson, Senior Account Executive at 94.1 myFM notes, a day of this magnitude could not be done without your help.

For those not familiar with the local initiative, myFM’s Kennedy Freeman breaks down what you can expect out at one of our locations.

Those who stop by will be able to utilize shopping lists available at each location, however Freeman breaks down what were hoping to collect in support of the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank, the Corner Cupboard in Aylmer and the Port Stanley Community Food Bank.

Thomson adds that were hoping for another great day in support of our community as in years past, we were able to make the single largest one time donation to our area food banks and we can do that again with your help!

Our team and amazing group of sponsors will be live on location at the Real Canadian Superstore in St. Thomas, Miller’s Your Independent Grocer in Aylmer and at Foodland in Port Stanley from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, August 17th.
