During their weekly update, Southwestern Public Health advised that all public beaches in Elgin county are showing safe levels of bacteria and no beaches are posted as not recommended for swimming.
However, major rainfall events will lead to runoff which can increase E. coli levels.
Beach water quality updates are also available 24/7 by dialing 2-1-1, Ontario’s free information and referral service or on the SWPH website.
