The City of St. Thomas, in partnership with Elgin County and the Municipality of Central Elgin, will be hosting a free AccessAbility Open House on Thursday, September 28th.
Taking place from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Memorial Arena in St. Thomas, the event aims to increase understanding around important disability issues and change attitudes about people living with disabilities in our community.
Door prizes, exhibits, vendors, food trucks and more will be available, with free city transit being offered to and from the event.
There will also be an additional Afterhours On-Demand transit bus to accommodate riders leaving the event and a temporary transit stop in front of Memorial Arena.
The event is spearheaded by the St. Thomas Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee in partnership with the Elgin County – Central Elgin Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee.
