The St. Thomas Police Service through their traffic management unit completed a couple of projects last week.
One of those dealing with speeding along Sunset Drive between Stanley and Talbot streets resulted in 7 warnings and 15 charges laid.
A second project addressing complaints of speeding on Fairview Avenue between Southdale Line and Elm Street generated 4 warnings and 6 charges.
A new campaign underway this week will focus on window tinting, exhaust and tire/wheel violations.
A ‘Fall Long Weekend’ traffic project has also been created to address distracted and aggressive driving, impaired driving and a seatbelt campaign as we approach the Thanksgiving long weekend.
