In an effort to help keep the community as safe as possible from the new and reoccurring scams that circulate the area, an in person Fraud Prevention Information Session is being hosted later this month.
With the assistance of the Vienna Lions Club, Elgin County OPP will deliver this FIGHTfraud presentation, providing participants with the opportunity to gain knowledge, insight and helpful advice relating to the ongoing and growing concerns about fraud.
The information session is set to take place on Tuesday, October 17th at 7 p.m., at the Vienna Lions Community Centre, 26 Fulton Street, Vienna.

Elgin OPP would like to remind the public that if something sounds too good to be true, or if something seems off, it is probably a scam.
Trust your instincts, not the stranger at the door, online or on the phone!
