An instructor at the Ontario Police College has been charged following a firearms investigation at the facility near Aylmer.
Last Friday, Elgin OPP responded to a report of a negligent discharge of a firearm during a training scenario.
No injuries were reported.
Fifty-six year-old Katherine Williams has been charged with careless use of a firearm.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on November 14th.
Elgin County OPP is continuing the investigation in conjunction with the Chief Firearms Office for Ontario.
