The 5th annual Downtown Pumpkin Prowl returns to St. Thomas this Friday night, inviting residents to trick-or-treat their way through the local businesses.
The excitement continues to build for all involved, especially for the downtown businesses who have upped participation this year notes Earl Taylor, Chair of the St. Thomas Downtown Development Board.
As always, Downtown Dollars will up for grabs during the Pumpkin Prowl. Taylor explains what it takes to be one of their five winners.
For those who have not participated in a DDB event in the past, Taylor shares how the passports work.
Taylor does note that unlike years past, physical copies of the passports will not be available in store at the participating businesses. Those hoping to enter the Downtown Dollars contest will need to print and bring their own passports.
And while it’s all about the fun of the Halloween season, the Downtown Pumpkin Prowl does have a greater purpose notes Taylor.
It was a long couple months for many of the participating businesses who had to deal with interruptions during construction. While Talbot Street is officially open to traffic and pedestrians, Taylor says one key item that has yet to be installed.
So get your costumes ready and visit the participating downtown St. Thomas businesses who will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. with treats for all the children!
