A pair of local charities were the big winners at Jackpot Time Wednesday thanks to a donation from the St. Thomas Gaming Association.
Christmas Care St. Thomas and The Christmas Shoppe will share $38,850, a record breaking total for this annual donation.
But as Sean Ross, Charity Coordinator with the St. Thomas Gaming Association explains, plenty more was given on behalf of their organizations.
For those unfamiliar with how exactly these funds are raised at Jackpot Time, Ross shares some insight.
And while each of the 89 members of the St. Thomas Gaming Association have their own needs and projects to fund, Ross says they always find a little extra to give at this time of year.
