A reported disturbance early Saturday morning in Aylmer eventually resulted in a police officer being assaulted.
Just after midnight, Aylmer Police officers responded to the call in the area of Talbot and John streets where they found an intoxicated man. The 30-year-old Aylmer resident was arrested for public intoxication.
During the arrest a 25-year-old Aylmer female pushed one of the officers. She was also charged with public intoxication and assaulting a police officer.
She will appear in court next month.
