The St. Thomas Fire Department and 94.1 myFM are teaming up once again this year to share the 12 Days of Holiday Fire & CO Safety Tips.
As the festive season approaches, our local fire department wants emphasized the importance of preventing common yet avoidable accidents around the holidays, while giving our listeners the chance to win a fun prize package in the process.
For those who listened to the 7 and 8:30 news this morning, you’ll already know Tip #5 focuses on Tree Watering!
Falling needles are your tree’s way of telling you it’s drying out and is a fire waiting to happen. Avoid being a statistic and water your tree daily. Be weary of heat sources near the tree including furnace vents and non-LED lights.
