Local utility company Entegrus is giving back to the community of St. Thomas-Elgin through a $58,000 donation.
They want to ensure that the city’s most vulnerable have adequate access to meals and has supplied the St. Thomas Salvation Army Outreach Team with $20,000 for continued efforts in providing hot meals through their outreach van.
The Elgin St. Thomas Food Providers Network will also receive $20,000 to help enhance the network’s capacity to provide essential needs to those facing food insecurity.
St. Thomas Soccer Club will also benefit as an $18,000 donation has been earmarked towards the installation of field lighting at Athletic Park- supporting the continued development of a vibrant sports community in St. Thomas.
“Our support for community projects such as the Soccer Club, the Salvation Army Outreach Team & The Elgin-St. Thomas Food Providers Network reflects our commitment to supporting thriving and inclusive communities,” stated Jim Hogan, President & CEO of Entegrus. “Entegrus is grateful to be part of the St Thomas community and support the organizations who support improving the local quality of life.”
Entegrus, along with its employees have donated approximately $400,000 to local organizations and initiatives in 2023.
