The theft of $1,800 worth of scratch off lottery tickets from a local gas station is being investigated by St. Thomas Police.
They say the incident took place on Tuesday when an unknown person posing as a contracted HVAC employee entered the store and informed the clerk they were sent to perform maintenance throughout the location.
A short time later, the suspect left the store with the tickets.
Police note that the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has been contacted and all tickets have been cancelled as the investigation continues.
