The winter driving season is officially upon us with bouts of snow and freezing rain already impacting the area this week.
With an aim at keeping our roadways and our residents as safe as possible, the OPP took to social media to share some important winter driving reminders.
That was Constable Brett Phair with Elgin County OPP who also stressed the dangers of following to closely during questionable conditions.
He adds that making yourself more visible to other drivers will always be a benefit.
You are also reminded to make sure that you can see out your vehicle.
Having and utilizing a snowbrush is vital in the winter months. Make sure your fluids, especially windshield washer fluid is topped up and you have the appropriate tools in your car, such as an emergency kit with blankets, water, and anything else you may need if you get stuck.
