If you took a look outside this morning, there is no doubt that winter is here.
As we begin waking up to snowy conditions, the city of St. Thomas is reminding residents about their Minimum Maintenance Standards for salting, sanding and plowing roads.
They note that each roadway in St. Thomas is classified based on its priority, with approximately 484 lane km of streets and 202 km of sidewalks throughout.
A map to determine the classification of your street can be found here.
A Current Snow Plowing Status Page has also been developed by staff, sharing details on plowing, sanding and salting efforts underway in the city.
Full details on the Winter Maintenance plan can be found here.
