Residents are being reminded to slow down on the roadways following two separate collisions involving school buses.
Just after 9 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle rear-ended a school bus on Talbot Line near Quaker Road in Central Elgin. The bus had 28 students on board plus the driver, with no serious injuries reported.
The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle was charged with careless driving.
A second incident involved a school bus which collided with a van near Pleasant Valley Golf Course. There were no students on the bus at the time and two people in the van. No serious injuries were reported.
Police are continuing with their investigation.
