It was a tough 3-2 overtime loss to Minnesota for the Ottawa franchise of the Professional Women’s Hockey League Wednesday- but it was a milestone game for St. Thomas native Lexie Adzija!
She scored her first goal of her professional career on the power play, with assists coming from Kateřina Mrázová and Jincy Roese, 10:55 into the first period.
The 23-year-old has recorded a point in all three games Ottawa has played, with assists coming in each of the first two.
Adzija and Ottawa will return to action Tuesday night when they host fellow St. Thomas native Brittany Howard and Toronto. Puck drop is set for 7!
