A 75-year-old St. Thomas woman has died in an incident Monday involving a school bus.
St. Thomas Police were called to the intersection of Talbot and Manitoba streets just before 3:30 p.m. where a pedestrian had been struck by the bus.
The woman, identified by police as Elizabeth Anderson, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died.
Police advise there were three high school-aged students on board the bus, with no injuries reported. All parties involved, in any way have been connected with Victim Services Elgin for support and resources.
Talbot Street was closed between Manitoba Alma streets into yesterday evening.
Police advise this is an active investigation and updates will be shared as they become available.
