If you’ve ever thought about a career in policing or have wanted to learn more about OPP operations- here’s your reminder about the perfect opportunity!
Residents are invited to attend the Elgin County OPP Citizens’ Police Academy, which is scheduled to take place Tuesday nights from 8 and 10 p.m. beginning March 19th in Dutton.
That was Elgin OPP Constable Brett Phair, who goes on to say that this course will cover a wide range of topics.
Adding whatever the motivation a citizen may have for attending this 9-week Academy, the result will be a community member who better understands the challenges and responsibilities that members of the Ontario Provincial Police face every day.
For those interested, Phair explains where and how to apply for this unique opportunity.
A graduation ceremony will also be hosted after the completion of the program to celebrate the hard work of participants.
The deadline to apply is March 1st.
