Southwestern Public Health is seeking help to identify two dogs involved in a bite incident in St. Thomas on Tuesday.
The victim was walking east on Locke Avenue near Confederation Drive just before 4 p.m. when two dogs and their owner passed in the opposite direction.
The two dogs are described as a yellow or white medium-sized curly-haired dog that resembled a Golden Doodle, and a brown small-to-medium sized short-haired mixed breed.
The health unit wants to confirm the vaccination status of the dogs to allow the victim and their health care provider to determine next steps related to rabies post-exposure prophylaxis.
If you are the owner of the dogs or have information about the incident, please contact Southwestern Public Health at 1-800-922-0096 and ask to speak with a Public Health Inspector.
