She’s lived in St. Thomas for a decade and now Colette Dodds has settled on a direction in her life.
She and four friends are now St. Thomas Little Helpers 2024 with the goal of helping to tackle food insecurity.
They sprung into action at the beginning of March and Dodds says the aim is to work with groups already in place in the city.
She explains individuals or families seeking food hampers simply have to join their Facebook page and the group will step in to help.
Dodds stresses the group does not consider itself a first response for those seeking assistance in obtaining food, instead they are more of a last resort.
The St. Thomas Little Helpers along with Destination Church will hold a fundraiser this Saturday, March 23 at FreshCo and Dodds has all the details.
Dodds notes they are seeking Scene card points, non-perishable food items and cash.
Their Facebook page is St. Thomas Little Helpers 2024.
