Expect changes to the way you vote in the next federal election.
The Liberals were to table legislation Wednesday to make updates to the federal Elections Act that could see voters go to the polls over three days, not just one.
As part of a deal with the N-D-P, voters may be able to go to any polling station in their riding.
The legislation could also include a streamlined process for mail-in voting.
It also proposes making permanent a campus voting program while adding dedicated on-site voting for people living in long-term care homes.
The next election has to be held no later than October 2025.
