According to The Hockey News, this will be the final professional hockey season as a player for St. Thomas native Brittany Howard.
At the end of this campaign, Howard will become a full-time coach in the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite organization working in the U-16 and U-19 girls programs.
The 28-year-old forward is currently playing for Toronto of the Professional Women’s Hockey League where she has 2 goals and 3 assists in 18 games.
She was taken in the 8th round of the league’s inaugural draft.
Last season she was a member of the Isobel Cup-winning Toronto Six of the Professional Hockey Federation.
