Bayham firefighters had their hands full Monday morning with a garage fire in Straffordville.
They were called out to 9594 Plank Road for reports of a structure fire. A fire at the rear of a large detached garage quickly spread throughout the structure.
Firefighters from Straffordville and Port Burwell stations fought to protect the main residence which did suffer damage to the vinyl siding.
The garage and contents were destroyed with damage estimated at $150,000.
No cause has been determined but it is not deemed suspicious.
