A 20-year-old Cambridge man has been charged in relation to a Southwold home invasion two years ago.
On June 7, 2022, Elgin OPP responded to a report of an assault at a Fingal Line address.
An individual posing as a delivery driver forcibly entered the residence. A second person entered the home and assaulted the owner.
Both fled the home in a black car.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On April 10 of this year, members of the Elgin OPP Crime Unit charged Kiefer Clarke with the following:
- Robbery with intent
- Unlawfully in dwelling house
- Assault with a weapon
- Administer noxious thing
- Robbery with intent to steal a firearm
Clarke is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on May 7, 2024.
Police are continuing to investigate to determine the identity of the other involved individual.
