Legendary hockey broadcaster Bob Cole has died at 90.
Hockey fans listened to his distinctive play-by-play style for a half-century on “Hockey Night in Canada,” the 1972 Summit Series, and the 2002 Olympic final in Salt Lake City to name a few.
Cole also served as quiz master on “Reach for the Top” and worked for the Newfoundland government.
He died last night at his home in St. John’s.
