An Aylmer resident is out of pocket thousands of dollars after falling victim to an Amazon shopping scam.
The 82-year-old woman made a purchase online and after receiving the item, a man posing as an Amazon employee called and asked her if she wanted the Prime service she had been charged for.
She declined and provided him with her debit card and banking details believing that was for the refund.
She then discovered $7,500 had been transferred out of her account.
