An exciting collaboration between Railway City Tourism, the Elgin County Heritage Centre and St. Thomas Public Library brings the Whistlestop Bicycle Festival to the city this Saturday.
Set in the newly opened Westlake Evans Park next to the Whistlestop Trail, this event will celebrate everything to do with cycling, active transportation, and community fun from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This includes the Bicycle Parade taking place at 12:15 p.m., where participates will have the opportunity to decorate and show off their bikes.
There will also be a Historic Cycle Display, High Wheel Demo, live music, games, activities, a magician, and more set up throughout the day.
This free event is for kids, grown ups, and everyone in between to get a better understanding about cycling heritage in the region.
