Health Canada has recalled Mio energy drink mixes due to potentially unsafe levels of caffeine.
The agency says energy drink flavours affected are tropical passionfruit, black cherry and açaí berry.
It warns high levels of caffeine have adverse effects on children and those sensitive to caffeine.
Exercising while consuming caffeine may lead to adverse health effects. Some of the side effects of consuming excess caffeine may include insomnia, irritability, headaches, and nervousness.
If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider.
